Who Will Challenge Doc Hastings Now?

As of yesterday morning, Doc Hastings run for reelection has managed to remove a major roadblock on the way to success. Jay Clough, the West Richland Democrat running against Hastings, has announced that he will not be pursuing the race any further.

Instead, Clough is going to focus his attention on November where he will have a showdown with state Rep. Brad Klippert. Clough cited wanting to stay close to his family and advocate for education and jobs at the state level as his reasons to step down from his efforts.

While we wish Jay Clough the best with his family and future, we now have to ask “who will challenge Doc Hastings now?” Unless someone stands up and is willing to fight for the spot, we may well be facing another term of Hastings spreading corruption throughout the government.

Hastings already has incumbent advantage on his side, as well as a network of powerful corporate connections which are interested in keeping him in office. As such, he is going to be rough to take down, even assuming the fight is a fair one.

Although the situation may seem like a foregone conclusion, we are still holding out hope that Hastings can be stopped during this election. Dafter the last few years of selfish calls and corrupt dealings, the people of Washington should be ready for a change. Keeping Hastings is not going to solve the problems with this state- it is going to make them worse. Hopefully, people can see that and take the action needed to get a fresh perspective and way of doing things in that seat.

Hastings has gotten too complacent. With the Ron Paul and Tea Party folks looking for something to do, why don’t they combine their forces and run someone against Hastings.

At least it would make some debates more interesting. It’s hard for me to believe that in my heart, these folks are satisfied with Doc’s performance. I’d love to see a real race for the 4th District for a change. Clint?

Mr. T. March 30, 2011 I have some stories about Match. One woman wkined at me, I wrote back, we went back and forth a few times, and she had a change of heart. I can accept that. Here’s where I saw the writing on the wall: Between me writing to her and her writing me back, there were times where she did NOT write, but was online now. She shouldn’t put all of her eggs into one basket of course, but that was very telling, and when she broke it off, it wasn’t shocking to me.Also, in a way, if I send a woman a wink or e-mail and she does the iggy as I prefer, I kind of wish she would block me from viewing her profile, because I send so many, I know that one of these days, I’m going to wink or e-mail a woman TWICE, and that’s going to freak her out.

I recommend supporting Ron Paul in the Republican caucus in your precinct, on March 3 at 10 a.m.

    FROM:

    http://www.yakima-herald.com/stories/2012/02/14/suddenly-and-surprisingly-state-republican-caucus-matters

“With no party registration in this state, a caucus-goer needs only to be a registered voter and willing to sign a form pledging fealty to the party and agreeing not to participate in any other party’s caucuses this year.

“After checking in, those attending can cast a ballot in a straw poll, but with that the process is just beginning. The state’s caucus-goers then will elect delegates to the county conventions later in March and in April, depending on the county, then the state convention on May 30-June 2. And while party officials will announce the results of the straw poll on March 3, they won’t determine the final delegate count until the state convention.”

ME AGAIN — supporting Paul now could help energize defenders of the Constitution, which could in turn encourage the development of a primary election campaign against our enabler of corporate-statism.

I’m not sure where people like Hastings live. Well it’s Dee Cee, where he is dlagly held up by lobbyists and conservo radio hosts who keep him in a vacuum as to what THEY view the pulse’ of the nation which is total BS. We are still in year 3 of a GOP ignored/caused recession that need lots of money to pull out of its doldrums. They, the new GOP want the economy and the nation as a whole to fail, as they run on a platform of see, this it what happens in a mid-term of a (democrat)-tic administration that we caused by tax breaks to the upper 10% but move-along, nothing to see here. But to be sure, the democratic party needs to stand up for the ideals of helping the middle class by pointing out that what worked in previous economic crisis, can work again. We had a large grass-roots movement that elected President Obama, he needs to know that we can place our energy somewhere else if we are ignored.

something about Chuck that I was absolutely not at all tneeatehrd or nervous about letting him into my condo. Actually, that says something about YOU. He was a STRANGER that you met on the internet and had a drink with, ONCE .and you let him into your condo?! Not trying to judge = just trying to show you how overly trusting you are. You are putting yourself in unsafe positions and you dont realize it. Read about boundaries and please be more careful! (No, this is not your mother. Just another former online-dater who is worrying about you
